I often “give” what I call the Tenacity Award. (There’s no physical reward, it’s just a high five and lots of excitement!) The children know our guinea pig Tenacity was named because she was very tenacious, and tried to run out of my hands when she was a baby. This child was DETERMINED to climb to the top of the slide without slipping back. She was saying, “I can climb it. I can climb it.” After many, many tried, she did! She was tenacious!
We have lima bean seeds growing on our windows. The plastic sleeves they’re in help to create the water cycle. Here, a child is tapping the “cloud” to make it “rain” and help his seed to grow.
Making sure the baby’s eye is ok, with grapes on hand in case he gets hungry!
Children can always choose their own type of paint brush and texture tool. “Hey! Look at my texture!”
