I MISS SCHOOL!!!!

This is so hard.  For the first time in 20 years, I’m not starting the year at RHCNS.  Both Vinu (Mrs. G) and I miss the children terribly!

I went into the classroom today.  

It was sobering walking in a seeing the room exactly the way it was in March.  Name cards were ready for the children to check in. Our “post office” is still up.   

On the other hand, it was reminder that we are not CLOSED, but rather on PAUSE, as we like to call it. Our hope is that we can open in January. In the meantime, it’s an opportunity to go through our supplies, paperwork, etc.  We have to find the positives  now! 

It felt so good to be back in the classroom, but it was so empty. 

I took a walk behind the school and marveled at the changes in the wooded area. It’s so peaceful.  Of course, I automatically looked for special things I would have the children explore.  

I miss teaching, I miss the children, I miss the parents, I miss my wonderful coworker.
